We got on the road Friday afternoon and camped at our favorite little spot off of Trout Creek pass. As usual, the sunset was beautiful and our neighbors were far far away.
On Saturday, we checked out Texas Creek, which flows off the Sawatch Range. The fishing was mediocre micro trouting. The camping opportunities were great, although the whole area is over run by ATVs.
Molly had a great time chasing sticks at the Texas Lakes. The lakes are located just a quarter mile off the road and are worth the short walk.

On Saturday, we camped on the Taylor River. Surprisingly, the fishing wasn't very good on the upper Taylor above the reservoir. The campsite was beautiful, with the sound of the river lulling us to sleep.
